I took daughter to a gyne appointment to have an IUD put in. They took her urine sample beforehand and came back in about 7 minutes later. Never said anything to us about why they took her urine. I waited to see if her gyne would say anything about it and at the end of the appointment I asked why they took the sample and she said for a pregnancy test. Totally fine and understandable, but she didn't ask for my daughter's permission, or even gave her a reason why they took that part of her. If I didn't ask, they wouldn't have educated her in the process. In a way I considered this theft. People can't take pictures from you without asking your permission, but lab tests are taken from you with knowing why?
